ANTIOCH, TN : Driver dead after rear-ending semi on I-24 in Antioch on Monday, 2nd April 2018
Police are investigating a deadly crash that happened on Interstate 24 late Monday night.
According to officials, a Hyundai Sonata rear-ended a UPS semi truck that was stopped due to construction in the westbound lanes at the Bell Road overpass just after 11:45 p.m.
The driver of the Sonata, 32-year-old Goodlettsville resident Brandon Boles, was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Investigators said it does not appear that Boles hit the brakes before the collision. Boles was reportedly wearing a seatbelt.
According to police, officers did not find evidence of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene.
The driver of the UPS truck was not injured in the collision.
