Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run traffic crash in Cape Coral.

The investigation at the 800 block of Cape Coral Parkway East is blocking both east and west bound traffic, with both down to one lane of travel, according to a Cape Coral Police Department news release.

A car hit a pedestrian just before 7 p.m. and fled the scene, the release said. The car was then stopped at Country Club Boulevard and Veterans Parkway, the release said.
