LEIGHTON, AL : Man hit and killed by vehicle in Colbert Co on Thursday, 27th June 2024

A man is dead after a car hit him Thursday morning in the Brick Hatton community.

Colbert County Coroner Justin Gasque identified the victim as Timothy Wood Jr. 34, of Leighton.

Wood was fatally injured when he was hit by the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Christopher Walden.

Officials say Wood was struck after the Silverado hit a trailer attached to the parked 2013 Chevrolet Suburban that Wood had initially been driving. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
