Baltimore, MD : Five people injured after a two-car crash in the 4400 block of Mountain Road on Wednesday afternoon, April 8, 2015

Two people were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after a two-car crash in the 4400 block of Mountain Road Wednesday afternoon, said Capt. Russ Davies, a county fire department spokesman.
The 85-year-old man and 77-year-old woman trapped in one vehicle sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries, fire officials said. They were taken to the trauma center by ambulance.
Davis said it took the firefighters 15 minutes to pull them out of the vehicle.

The three passengers in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and were transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
The accident occurred at 4 p.m. and shut down Mountain Road in both directions for about an hour, fire officials said.
The road was reopened around 5 p.m.
