Gadsden, AL : Glencoe boy died in an ATV crash at Green Valley Road On Saturday, August 13th, 2016

A 14-year-old Glencoe boy died in an ATV crash Saturday afternoon, according to interim Etowah County Coroner Joe Horton.

Seth Kirkland Young was a passenger on a Yamaha Rhino, Horton said, when the vehicle flipped.

The teens were riding in a field about 200 yards off Green Valley Road, in the 1400 block, he said, when the crash occurred at about 4 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.

Kirkland was a passenger on the outer side of the ATV, Horton said; another teen was driving and the other was sitting in the middle.

Young was not wearing a helmet. The other teens were not injured.
