Yakima, WA : Tanner Budde, 19, and Vanicia Jones, 17, injured in rollover crash on I-82 near Toppenish on Sunday, April 19, 2015

Two people were injured early Sunday when the driver apparently fell asleep eastbound on Interstate 82, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Tanner Budde, 19, and Vanicia Jones, 17, were taken to Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center after Budde’s 1993 Acura left the road near Toppenish, rolled and came to rest in the median, troopers said in a news release. Their injuries were not immediately disclosed.

Both were wearing seat belts. The car was totaled.

Troopers said fatigue caused the accident and Budde is facing charges of negligent driving.
