Wesley Chapel, FL : 32-year-old man died Thursday after his car collided with a dump truck on September 12th 2014

A 32-year-old man died Friday, a day after his car collided with a dump truck in Wesley Chapel, the Florida Highway Patrol said Monday. The crash occurred at 8:08 a.m. Thursday on State Road 54 at Brook Manor Drive, just west of Zephyrhills, troopers said. A dump truck driven by Juan Carlos Lopez, 45, of Land O’ Lakes, was traveling west on State Road 54 toward Brook Manor Drive, troopers said. Jovan A. Contreras was steering a 2004 Acura RSX south on Brook Manor Drive and, despite having a stop sign, made a left turn into the truck’s path, troopers said. Contreras, of Wesley Chapel, was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center but died Saturday from injuries sustained in the collision, the highway patrol said.
