BIRMINGHAM, AL : Man killed in crash that shut down I-65 and I-59/20 on Tuesday, 6th October, 2020

Two interstates in the heart of Birmingham have reopened after a deadly wreck involving two vehicles and a tractor-trailer.
BFRS says the 18-wheeler left I-65 South and fell about 30 feet down to I-59 North. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
The victim has been identified as 59-year-old Charles Eugene Pearce Jr. He was from Gulf Shores.
Pearce was the driver and lone occupant of the car hauler tractor-trailer.
The other driver of the SUV was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
