Summerset ,SD : Douglas Kellar, 56 killed and another injured after his motorcyclecollided with Rand's vehicle on Friday,August 7th 2015

The fatal crash happened at 10:08 a.m. in Summerset. Margaret Rand, 65, of Parker, was driving a 1996 Dodge Intrepid south on Sturgis Road when she made a left turn at Stage Stop Road.

At about the same time, Douglas Kellar, 56, of Adams, N.Y., was driving a motorcycle north on Sturgis Road and was thrown from his motorcycle as he attempted to avoid Rand. Kellar then collided with Rand's vehicle.

Keller, who was wearing a helmet, died as a result of injuries. Rand was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured, according to the Highway Patrol.

Rand was cited for failure to yield.
