One person has died and three others are injured tonight in a six-car crash that might have been caused by two cars racing on the Northeast Side.

A person was pronounced dead at Wexner Medical Center at Ohio State University at 10:28 p.m., less than an hour after the crash on Morse Road. Radio reports were that it was a 25-year-old man who died.

Two other people were taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, one in critical condition and one said to be stable, and a child was taken in stable condition to Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Columbus Fire and Police were called to the crash around 9:35 p.m. on Morse Road in the area of Dunbridge Street, which is between Sunbury and Westerville roads. Morse Road remains closed in both directions between those two intersections.

Initial reports were that six vehicles were involved and that two of those vehicles had been racing. At least one of the vehicles caught fire and fire crews pulled a trapped man from one car.

The names of those involved and further details weren't available late Thursday night.
