Martinsville,VA : Man killed in two-vehicle crash in Franklin County on May, Friday 4th 2018
A 22-year-old man was killed after the car he was in crashed into a tractor-trailer in Franklin County on Friday, state police said.
A 2000 Ford Mustang was traveling south on U.S. 220, near Virginia 718, about 10:30 p.m. when it ran off the right side of the road, lost control, then crossed the median, striking a 2012 International tractor-trailer, state police said.
The driver of the Mustang, Greyson David Gsell, 30, of Summerfield, North Carolina, was taken to the hospital for treatment. He was wearing his seat belt.
The passenger in the Mustang, Zachary James Houlik, died at the scene. He was wearing his seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
