MEDFORD, MS : Man struck, killed by vehicle that fled scene on Sunday, 25th September 2016

Massachusetts State Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle that fled the scene.

Police say it happened at about 5:40 a.m. Sunday on Route 16 in Medford.

Troopers who responded to the area found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police haven't released his name.

The crash remains under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
