Erie County, NY : Two people injured in motorcycle crash on Cattaraugus Territory on Monday night, April 25, 2016
Two people were injured Monday night when a motorcyclist lost control on Route 438 on the Seneca Nation of Indians’ Cattaraugus Territory, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash, reported just before 11 p.m., happened almost two miles east of Route 20, deputies reported.
Steven C. Murray, who was operating the motorcycle, was taken to Erie County Medical Center with head and upper body injuries. Melissa D. Avery, his passenger, was transported to Lake Shore Health Care Center in Irving with a head injury, as well as cuts and scrapes to her hands and legs.
Sheriff’s deputies issued Murray eight traffic tickets.
