Boulder,CO : Three-vehicle crash involving bus on Colo. 93 sends 13 to hospital on June, Monday 19th 2017

A three-vehicle crash involving a small commercial bus closed down Colo. 93 between Colo. 72 and Colo. 128 for a short time on Monday afternoon, according to police.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Nate Reid said that 13 victims were transported to a Boulder hospital with "minor, not serious injuries."

The crash occurred when a Subaru WRX heading northbound drifted into the Colo. 93 southbound lane and collided into the side of a bus owned by Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, Reid said.The bus was carrying 26 people at the time of the crash, Colorado State Patrol Master Sgt. Donald Enloe said, the majority of which were children.

The impact caused the bus to spin counterclockwise and roll over onto its passenger side, according to Reid. He added that the Subaru was subsequently hit in its passenger side by an incoming Toyota Corolla.

Colo. 93 was reopened in both directions about 3:45 p.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
