El Paso, TX : Two people killed in six-vehicle crash Friday December 18 2015

An Arizona man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for driving drunk last year in El Paso and causing a six-vehicle wreck that killed two people.
Forty-eight-year-old Sterling Ashcroft of Fountain Hills, Arizona, pleaded guilty Friday to four charges, including two counts of murder, and was later sentenced.
The El Paso Times Ashcroft was driving on Interstate 10 in August 2014 when his pickup rear-ended a car, triggering a series of collisions as vehicles were slowing for traffic.
A 29-year-old man driving the car initially struck by Ashcroft and a 55-year-old woman who was a passenger in another car died at the scene.
Ashcroft has been in jail since his arrest following the wreck.
Members of Mothers Against Drunk Driving attended his court proceedings.
