CLARKSFIELD, OH : Teen suffers serious injuries in crash on Wednesday, 25th April 2018
An area teenager suffered serious injuries in a crash that happened Wednesday evening in Huron County.Heavyn Paige Long, 18, of Shelby, was driving a 2007 Pontiac Vibe north on Fitchville River Road, just north of Court Road, at 6:01 p.m. when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox and a utility pole, said troopers with the Norwalk post of the state Highway Patrol.
Long, was wearing her seat belt, sustained serious injuries and was flown via Cleveland Metro Life Flight to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, troopers said. Alcohol and/or drug impairment is unknown at this time.
The vehicle sustained severe damage in the crash and was towed from the scene by Norb’s Towing.
Agencies that assisted troopers at the scene included the Wakeman Township Fire Department, Huron County Sheriff’s Office, Cleveland Metro Life Flight, North Central EMS and Norb’s Towing.
