CLARENDON COUNTY, SC : Passenger dies in crash on I-95 in Clarendon County on Thursday, 21st January 2021

One person has died following a collision that happened Thursday afternoon on I-95.

According to Master Trooper David Jones of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Mile Marker 122. That’s near U.S. Highway 521.

Officials said a 2013 Honda CR-V was traveling south on the interstate when it crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer that stopped for traffic.

The driver and front-seat passenger in the Honda were both taken to a hospital after being seriously injured. However, the passenger in the back seat died from injuries suffered in the crash.
