Buffalo, NY : Amherst street accident involves California woman on Thursday, 10th November 2016

A California woman was taken to Erie County Medical Center for an examination after she reportedly walked into the side of a car while she was crossing Main Street at Transit Road on Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.

According to Capt. Patrick McKenna of the Amherst Police Accident Investigation Unit, witnesses said Lucie P. Wong, 63, of Foster City, was knocked to the ground after she stepped off the curb and walked into the side of the car driven by Town of Tonawanda resident Justin G. Borgosz, 30, as he was turning onto Main from Transit at about 3:07 p.m.

The incident remains under investigation by the Accident Investigation Unit. No charges had been filed as of Thursday evening.
