Kossuth Township . ME : Passerby revives unresponsive 3 Years Old Girl after SUV crash into creek on Monday afternoon, 17th November 2014

A passerby who recently completed a refresher CPR course is credited with saving the life of a 3-month-old girl after the vehicle she was riding in landed upside down in a stream in Washington County. Trooper Chad Lindsey tells WNSX-FM that the SUV driven by 55-year-old Stephen McGouldrick of Calais slid on ice late Monday afternoon, tumbled down an embankment and came to a rest in 2½ feet of water. He says Wade Shorey from Greenbush revived the unresponsive baby. His wife said the 28-year-old Shorey is a forester who saw the crash outside Calais while driving home. Lindsey says when he arrived on scene the child was crying and alert, but had water in her lungs. The baby is being treated at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Source :
