Daytona Beach , FL : 27-years old person died after His car came to a rest on the sidewalk and caused driver fled on Saturday , January 17th 2015

Daytona Beach police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run.

Police said the driver of a 2003 black Mercedes was speeding southbound on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard when he hit the back of a Toyota Corolla in the intersection at South Street.

The driver of the Corolla, Denzil Sykes, 27, died. His car came to a rest on the sidewalk.

Meanwhile, the driver who caused the crash fled the scene on foot.

Police are still investigating.
