Tampa, FL : Woman charged with DUI after crashing into Tampa bar on Tuesday, January 27, 2015

A woman is facing DUI with injury and marijuana possession charges after she crashed into the Independent Bar and Café.

Sully Marie Torre-Medina, 29, lost control of her car and ran off the road into the Independent's patio around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, Tampa Police said. The Independent is located at 5016 N. Florida Ave.

One patron was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with minor injuries, police said.

Torre-Medina tried to back up and leave the scene but other patrons stopped her. Her blood alcohol concentration was 0.16, which is twice the legal limit, police said.
