Police on Monday identified the victim of a hit-and-run crash on Georgia Avenue and released more information about the car in the hope of finding the driver.
The victim, a male pedestrian who was struck and killed while crossing the street in the 2700 block of Georgia Avenue at about 3:17 a.m. Sunday, was identified as Bareket Haile, 26, of Northeast Washington.
D.C. police said the car that struck Haile had chrome wheels and damage on the driver’s side. They said it was a dark sedan, possibly a Chrysler.
