Two are injured following a one-vehicle motorcycle crash Saturday in Polk County.
Jennifer M. Bisel, 36, and Nathan A. Bisel, 36, both of Center City, Minn. were transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Jennifer Bisel has life-threatening injuries, according to a news release from the state Department of Transportation.
According to the news release:
At about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, a 2008 Yamaha RS motorcycle operated by Nathan Bisel was heading west on U.S. 8 near Amery.
When traveling through the roundabout at the intersection of Highway 46 South, the vehicle ran through the grass in the center mound and lost control. The motorcycle crashed on the backside of the center mound.
Jennifer Bisel was airlifted and Nathan Bisel was transported by ambulance to the hospital. Nathan Bisel was also arrested and charged for his third offense operating under the influence.
Neither of the occupants are believed to have been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The Polk County sheriff’s office, Apple River Fire Department, Amery Police Department and Amery Ambulance assisted on the scene.
