CLARKSVILLE, MO : A crash in Clarksville injured a Vandalia man on Monday, September 4, 2017

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2006 Harley-Davidson Sportster driven by James M. Wheeler, 73, of Vandalia, was northbound on First Street, south of Lewis Street, at 3:25 p.m. The patrol said the Sportster's throttle stuck, causing the driver to lose control and overturn.

Wheeler was transported by Survival Flight to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis with serious injuries.
