PROCTOR, VT : 1 man dead after rollover crash in Proctor on Friday, 16th February 2024

The Rutland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating another fatal crash that happened in Proctor.

They say at 4:00 Friday afternoon they received a report of a roll-over crash with an unresponsive driver near 96 East Street.

When officers arrived, they found 46-year-old Benjamin Curtis dead at the scene. They say he was travelling South on East Street when he failed to turn with the curve of the road.

They are unsure what caused Curtis to lose control of the vehicle, and the crash is still under investigation.
