Caledonia, WI : Four injured in head-on crash, including mother and two children on Wednesday morning July 30th 2014

Four people, including a mother and her two children, were seriously injured Wednesday morning in a head-on crash in the Village of Caledonia, police said.

The crash was reported shortly before 8 a.m. on State Highway 38 at Brook Road, according to a news release from the Caledonia Police Department.

According to the release, the drivers of both vehicles, the 43-year-old mother and a 49-year-old woman, along with the children were taken to a hospital in Racine.

The mother was later transferred to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa and her children to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, according to the release.

The crash remained under investigation.
