Authorities in Delaware are investigating after a pedestrian was critically injured in a collision with a car.

The Delaware State Police said in a statement that the collision happened around 7:40 p.m. Friday on Pulaski Highway at Church Road in Bear. State Police say 45-year-old Jeanna M. Hobbs-Rochester of Newark was crossing Pulaski Highway in a crosswalk but against the signal when she was struck by a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro.

State Police say they suspect Hobbs-Rochester was under the influence of alcohol. She was admitted to a hospital in critical condition.
