Harrington, ME : Milbridge man was died in a head-on crash with a trash hauling truck on Tuesday morning October 7th 2014

Police say a Milbridge man has died in a head-on crash with a trash hauling truck in Harrington. The Washington County Sheriff's Office says 53-year-old Michael Strout was driving his pickup truck on Route 1A on Tuesday morning when he crossed the centerline and collided with the larger vehicle. Strout, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. His juvenile son was also in the vehicle, but was wearing a seat belt and was not seriously hurt. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the trash truck was also not hurt. The crash remains under investigation but deputies say speed does not appear to be a factor.
