Selah, WA : Yakima woman injured in two-car collision on I-82 early Sunday, May 1, 2016
A Yakima woman was injured in a two-car collision early Sunday 6 miles north of Selah, authorities reported.
Pushpa D. Sangha, 62, was taken to Yakima Regional Medical & Cardiac Center after the 1 a.m. collision on eastbound I-82 at milepost 24, the Washington State Patrol reported. She was in stable condition Sunday afternoon, according to a nursing supervisor.
Sangha was the passenger in a pickup driven by Kulvinder S. Sangha, 63, of Yakima. Both were wearing seat belts, authorities said, when he struck the rear of a Jeep Liberty driven by Coraima L. Sales-Artega, 21, of Seattle. She also wore a seat belt.
Sangha’s truck then crossed westbound lanes and struck a fence. His truck was totaled; the Jeep was driveable, authorities said.
The State Patrol said the cause was speed and inattention, and a charge of negligent driving was expected.
