Queensbury, N.Y : Woman injured in a Two-vehicle crash on Tuesday, February 21, 2017
A two vehicle crash at an intersection left one driver with serious injuries and had to be airlifted to the hospital.
Warren County Sheriff's Office responded to the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Corinth Road just before 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release.
Police determined a 2013 Chrysler van being operated by Christian Mahar, 48, of Queensbury was traveling south on Indiana Avenue when he failed to yield the right of way onto Corinth Road.
Police said he went into the path of a westbound 2014 Toyota operated by Ruth Hart, 55, of Glens Falls. Hart was transported by helicopter to Albany Medical Center and her condition was unknown.
Police ticketed Mahar for failure to yield the right of way and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.
The accident was handled by Patrol Officer K.S. Ordway and West Glens Falls Fire and West Glens Falls EMS assisted at the scene.
