Germantown, WI : Germantown man killed in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday night August 30 2015

A memorial service will be held Saturday for Germantown man killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night
Police have the car that struck him but haven’t been able to prove who was driving.
Keith Habenicht’s sister told WISN 12 News that figuring out who is responsible would bring some closure.
It's going to be a rough road going forward,” Habenicht’s sister, Luanne Mulawa, said.
Mulawa said her brother was the youngest of four siblings, part of a tight-knit family.
Our mother lost her only son, and that shouldn't happen. His children lost a very dedicated father,” Mulawa.
Habenicht was riding home from the store on Sunday night along Appleton Avenue south of Mequon Road, when he was struck from behind by the car seen in surveillance footage.
My family would like to encourage the individual accountable for the death of my brother, to have the strength of character to do the right thing,” Mulawa said.
They want the driver to turn him or herself in. Police recovered the Mazda 3 involved and arrested its owner, but had to release the man, because they don't have proof yet he was behind the wheel.
We need the community, this individual to come forward to help us with closure and help us move forward,” Mulawa said.
Right now, the family is holding onto memories and pictures as reality continues to set in.
The kids start school on Monday, and it's going to be the first moment that Keith won't be able to truly share it with them,” Mulawa said.
She said Habenicht was a giver, and someone who was always there for others.
