Dallas, TX : Two dead, five injured in Southwest Dallas wreck on Friday night, July 25, 2014
Two people died and five others were seriously injured Friday night in an accident on Davis Street just east of Loop 12 in Southwest Dallas.
Police said a 2013 Nissan Murano traveling eastbound on Davis just after 10 o'clock tried to make a left turn at Tillery Avenue and was hit broadside by a Chrysler.
Witnesses told police that the Chrysler was traveling between 70-80 mph at the time of impact. The speed limit on that stretch of Davis Street is 35 mph.
Minerva Bravo, 64, died at the scene. A man whose name has not been released died later at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Five other people were taken to hospitals with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the family in the Nissan was from Oklahoma.
