Omaha,NE : Three people killed, Omaha woman injured in Kansas crash on November, Monday 20th 2017
A 48-year-old Omaha woman was injured in a weekend collision that killed three people in northeast Kansas.
Maria D. Perez-Marquez was flown by medical helicopter to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, after the head-on crash, which occurred about 8 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Highway 75 near Holton, Kansas, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The hospital had no information on Perez-Marquez on Sunday evening.
Killed in the crash were three members of a Sabetha, Kansas, family: Carmen K. Ukele, 42; Marlee G. Ukele, 11; and Stephen Ukele, 62.
Also injured and flown to the KU hospital were Lee F. Ukele, 59, of the same Sabetha family, and Rosalao G. Perez, 29, of St. Joseph, Missouri.
Earlier in the day the Ukeles watched two family members play in a state football championship game, according to the Topeka Capital-Journal. After a win, the joyful day turned tragic when the players’ mother, sister and uncle were killed and their father injured, the newspaper said.
