A crash involving four vehicles injured a number of people on the overpass connecting to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge in Auburn on Monday night. A member of the Auburn Fire Department estimated that at least four people were injured in the crash, which occurred around 7 p.m. Ambulances took patients to Central Maine Medical Center and St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. A two-vehicle, head-on crash was followed by two other vehicles colliding, the member of the fire department said. The Center Street overpass remains closed and traffic is being rerouted.
