Knoxville, TX : Bicyclist, 85, dies after crash with SUV in Oak Ridge Sunday, February 19, 2017

An 85-year-old man died Sunday after his bicycle collided with an SUV in Oak Ridge.

Around 1:50 p.m., officers with the Oak Ridge Police Department responded to the crash involving a small SUV and a bicycle at the intersection of state Highway 58 and Blair Road.

The driver of the SUV, 74-year-old Wanda Lowery of Kingston, was uninjured, according to a news release from city spokeswoman Sarah Self.

At the request of the family, police have not identified the bicyclist, who is from Oak Ridge.

The decision to file charges has not been made, according to the release.

Authorities have not said how the crash happened.
