A father walking with his two young children has died after being pinned under a van.

Tampa Police say Maurice Savalas Harris, 40, and his two kids were walking near St. Joseph's Hospital property on Saturday when two cars crossed over the median and collided. A truck careened over the curb and into the driveway of the medical arts building, pinning Harris underneath.

Harris' two children were not injured.

Authorities said charges may be filed.
