ESCAMBIA COUNTY, AL : Crash in Escambia County on Thursday, 4h July 2024

A multi-vehicle crash that happened around 4:17 p.m., Thursday has claimed the life of a Missouri man, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported Friday.

According to troopers with ALEA, the crash happened when a 2017 Jeep Liberty driven by 60-year-old Shirley A. Moore of Higginsville, Mo., struck a 2020 Ram 1500 driven by 39-year-old Demetruis L. Preyer of Pensacola, Fla. After the initial collision, the Jeep was struck by the 2020 Hyundai Sonata driven by Carolyn A. Albert, 55, of Atmore.

ALEA said a passenger in the Jeep, William H. Moore, 69, also of Higginsville, was seriously injured. He was taken to D.W. McMillan in Brewton where he died of his injuries, authorities said.
