North Haven, CT : 6-year-old boy died in a crash on Interstate 91 in North Haven on Sunday, December 25, 2016

State police say the 6-year-old boy seriously injured in a Christmas Day crash on Interstate 91 in North Haven has died.

Police on Thursday identified the victim of the Sunday crash as Noah McCoy, of Meriden.

Police say Noah was in a pickup truck heading north at about 8:30 a.m. Christmas Day when it slid off the highway, rolled over several times, and ended up on the southbound side of the highway.

He wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

The vehicle was being driven by a 23-year-old Meriden woman. She, along with boys ages 11 and 13, suffered minor injuries.

Investigators have said a patch of black ice may have caused the vehicle to flip.

The crash remains under investigation.
