A woman sustained non-life threatening injuries after her vehicle went into a ravine off Oak Grove Road on Monday.
The wreck occurred just after 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, at the intersection of Oak Grove Road and Lovelace Road. N.C. Highway Patrol Troopers at the scene believe the unidentified woman had been driving too fast around a curve. The woman was driving east on Oak Grove Road where she drifted into the west bound lane, hit a tree and ended up at the bottom of a ravine.
The woman was pinned in the vehicle for approximately 20 minutes before rescue personnel could remove her. She was transported to Carolinas HealthCare System-Cleveland for treatment.
as of 9 p.m., troopers were still investigating the wreck.
