One man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Anderson Township on Thursday night.

Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil said the crash happened near 2650 Bartels Road on around 9 p.m.

John Previty, 89, was driving a 2007 Honda Civic when he experienced a medical emergency and crossed the center line, deputies said.

Previty struck a car driven by a 17-year-old female. Deputies said both Previty and the other motorist were extricated from the vehicles via non-mechanical means.

The Anderson Township Fire Department responded to the scene and transported Previty and the juvenile to area hospitals. Both victims are from the Cincinnati area.

Previty was pronounced dead at Mercy Anderson Hospital. The other victim was transported to the Cincinnati Children's Medical Center and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
