The woman killed in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday night has been identified.
The Aiken County Coroner says 51-year old Michelle L. Chambers of Graniteville, SC was pronounced dead at the scene on December 24. The Coroner says an investigation showed that Chambers was traveling above the posted speed limit, when she lost control of the car.
The crash is being investigated by the Aiken County Coroner's Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The South Carolina Highway patrol says one person is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Saturday night in Graniteville.
Highway patrol responded to the crash at around 11:30 p.m on December 24. Highway patrol says a 1999 Ford Explorer was traveling north on Rainbow Falls road when it went off the roadway. The car then hit a guardrail and flipped into the median on I-20.
Highway patrol says the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred. The driver was the only person in the car. The person's identity has not been released yet.
South Carolina Highway patrol is investigating the incident.
