Houston, TX : Motorcyclist dies in crash at parking lot in NW Harris County on Thursday, July 14, 2016

A 39-year-old man died Thursday night when he lost control of his motorcycle in a shopping center parking lot and slammed into a wall in northwest Harris County.

The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. in the 17200 block of Spring Cypress Road, said Deputy B. Troyer of the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Troyer said two men were following each other as they rode motorcycles westbound in the parking lot. The trailing motorcyclist popped a slight wheelie, lost control of his motorcycle and smashed into a concrete wall.

The man was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.
No other injuries were reported.

Deputies are investigating the crash.
