GASTONIA, NC : 1 dead after crash closes I-85 near Gastonia on Sunday, 21st January 2024

The Gastonia Police Department said it is investigating a single vehicle accident on I-85 southbound that closed lanes in both directions on Sunday morning.

The crash happened in the area of exit 19.

The police department said one person was killed in the accident. The Gastonia Police Department said the victim is a man. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, police said.
