Joiner, AR : Poinsett County man died in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 77 in Mississippi County on Tuesday, Oct 13, 2015

A man from Poinsett County died in a single-vehicle crash in Mississippi County. His passenger was injured as well.

Douglas Henley, 52, of Tyronza was killed Tuesday as a result of the crash, according to Arkansas State Police.

Police state in the crash report that Henley was driving a Dodge Durango on Highway 77, two miles south of Highway 308, in Joiner around 11:15 a.m.

Henley was driving south when the SUV went off the road onto a gravel shoulder. ASP states an overcorrection was made and the vehicle struck a ditch and overturned.

Henley was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passenger, Anita Rainwater of Marked Tree, was injured and taken to The MED in Memphis. Her condition is unknown.
