Accomac, VA : 28-year-old Damarcus Johnson killed and another injured after being struck by a car in Accomack County on Sunday, May 8, 2016

Authorities say one man was killed and another was injured after being struck by a car in Accomack County.

Virginia State Police said three men were trying to cross Route 13 on Sunday when two of them were struck by a car.

State police say 28-year-old Damarcus Johnson of Greenbush died upon impact. The other man was injured and taken to the hospital.

Police say the driver sustained minor injuries.

State Police say the area where the men were trying to cross was not lit. They say neither alcohol nor speed played a factor in the incident.
