HENRICO, VA : Chesterfield woman dies after crash on Pocahontas Parkway on Thursday, 4h July 2024

A 53-year-old Chesterfield woman died Thursday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash on Pocahontas Parkway.

“A 2003 Dodge Dakota was heading eastbound on Route 896 (Pocahontas Parkway) when it went off the left side of the road, struck a guardrail, overturned, and came to rest in the westbound lanes,” Virginia State Police said Friday.

Shirley M. Bain was ejected from the vehicle and died at the hospital.

Police say the driver, Christopher L. Bain, suffered serious injuries.
