QUINCY, MA : Two Quincy residents injured in crash near the intersection of 28th Street and Payson Road on Friday, 7th December 2018

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4:54 p.m.near the intersection of 28th Street and Payson Road.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department said a 2009 Chevrolet Impala driven by Shawn Sohn, 43, of Quincy, was heading east on Payson and attempting to turn left into a driveway when the vehicle was struck in the rear by an eastbound 2008 Toyota Yaris driven by Casey Nicholson, 33, of Quincy.

Sohn and a passenger -- an unidentified 16-year-old juvenile female -- were taken by the Adams County Ambulance Service to Blessing Hospital for treatment of what were described as minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.

Nicholson, who also was wearing a seat belt, refused treatment at the scene.

The sheriff's department said Nicholson was issued a citation on a charge of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
