Murfreesboro, TN : Three people injured including a Murfreesboro Police officer in a two-car accident near the Shoney's Restaurant on South Church on Sunday morning, November 23, 2014

Three people were injured in a crash in Murfreesboro early Sunday morning, including a Murfreesboro police officer. It happened near the Shoney's restaurant on South Church Street around 3:30 a.m. when the officer was on his way home from work. He was taken to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, but information regarding his condition wasn't immediately known. The officer also had a K-9 in the patrol car with him. The dog was taken to a local veterinarian as a precaution. The driver of the second vehicle had to be extracted and was transported to the same hospital, while the passenger was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
