HENRY COUNTY, VA : 19-year-old woman dies, man faces charges after Henry County crash on Friday, 6th September 2024

A man is charged after a 19-year-old woman was killed in a Henry County crash Friday, according to Virginia State Police.

Police say officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash at 3:43 p.m. on Chatham Road near Lawrence Drive.

According to police, the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu was traveling west on Chatham Road and ran off the right side of the road. The driver then overcorrected and struck a guardrail before hitting a tree.

The passenger, Khyrra Michelle Martin, 19 of Ridgeway, died at the scene, police say.
