One person died and another was injured in a crash Thursday afternoon on Route 611 in Nockamixon Township, Pennsylvania State Police at Dublin report this morning.
A person was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu north about 2:45 on the two-lane highway when the car crossed into the southbound lane just south of Foellner Lane and onto the road's shoulder, police said. The car returned to the southbound lane where its driver's side was struck by the front bumper of a southbound 2007 Toyota Camry, police said.
The driver of the Chevrolet was dead when emergency workers arrived, police said.The driver was wearing a seat belt, police said.
The driver of the Toyota, who police did not name, was taken by Upper Bucks Medic 142 for treatment at St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill, police said.
Bucks County Coroner Dr. Joseph Campbell did not immediately return a phone call seeking the cause and manner of death of the person driving the Chevrolet.
The driver of the Toyota was not charged in the incident.
